Privacy Policy

Last updated 22 July 2026

Zhuchka is a small app for sharing second-hand and thrift-shop finds. This policy explains what it collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Who is responsible

Zhuchka is developed and operated by Nikita Zolov, an individual developer. For anything in this policy, including requests about your data, write to nxzolov@gmail.com.

What Zhuchka does not do

There are no advertising networks, no analytics or telemetry SDKs, no crash reporting services, and no tracking across other apps or websites. Your data is never sold, rented, or shared for marketing. No profiling or automated decision-making takes place.

What is collected

DataWhyWhen
Email address To create your account and sign you in with a one-time link Only if you sign in
Name and profile picture To show who posted a find Only if you sign in with Google, or set them yourself
Profile location text Shown on your profile; free text you type, e.g. a city name Only if you fill it in
Finds you post Photo, description, chosen shop, and a copy of your name and picture as they were at the time of posting Each time you post
Saved shops To keep your list of favourites across devices When you tap the heart, while signed in
Reports you send What you reported, the reason you picked, any details you typed, and who sent the report — so it can be reviewed and acted on Each time you report a find or an account
People you block To hide your finds from them and theirs from you When you block someone
Language choice To open the app in the language you picked Stored on your device only, never sent anywhere

Reports and blocks

A report is read by Nikita Zolov and no one else. The person you reported is never told who reported them; if their content is removed, they are told what rule it broke, not by whom it was flagged. Your list of blocked people is visible only to you — not even to the people on it.

Device location

If you tap the “my location” button on the map, the app asks the operating system for your current position and uses it to centre the map on your screen. That position is not stored, not logged, and not sent to any server — it exists only in the app while the map is open. You can refuse the permission; everything else in the app keeps working.

Camera and photo library

Access is requested only at the moment you choose to attach a photo to a find. The app reads the single image you pick and nothing else. It never scans, indexes, or uploads your gallery.

What is public

Zhuchka is a public feed. Anyone using the app — including people who are not signed in — can see the finds you post, the photos attached to them, your display name, your profile picture, and your profile location text. Photos are served from public storage URLs, which means anyone who has the link can open the image directly in a browser. Please do not post anything you would not want to be public.

Your email address is never shown to other users.

Who else processes your data

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing what it does with the data it receives.

Where data is stored

Data is held on the infrastructure of the providers above, which may be located outside your country. If you are in Serbia or the European Economic Area, this means your data may be transferred abroad; the providers rely on standard contractual clauses and similar mechanisms for those transfers.

How long data is kept

Account data and the finds you post are kept until you delete them or delete your account. Deleting a find removes both the database record and the stored photo.

Reports are kept after they are handled, so that repeat problems can be recognised. If you delete your account, your reports stay but stop being linked to you — otherwise deleting an account would erase the record of content that was flagged.

Deleting your account

Open Profile → settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, your profile, every find you posted, the photos attached to them, your uploaded profile picture, your saved shops, and your list of blocked people. It cannot be undone, and there is no grace period.

If you can no longer sign in, write to nxzolov@gmail.com from the address the account uses and it will be deleted for you. See the account deletion page for details.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, have it erased, receive it in a portable form, object to how it is used, or restrict that use. Most of this is available directly in the app; for anything else, write to nxzolov@gmail.com and expect an answer within 30 days.

If you are in Serbia and believe your data has been mishandled, you may complain to the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection. If you are in the European Economic Area, you may complain to your national supervisory authority.

Children

Zhuchka is not intended for anyone under 16. Accounts belonging to children under that age will be deleted when identified.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top will be updated and the change will be announced in the app before it takes effect.
